Villages History Group

The village history group welcomes anyone who is interested in any aspect of local history, from recording oral history to researching the agricultural past, learning how to use archives or working with others to uncover some forgotten aspect of life in Bardon Mill & Henshaw. To get involved, simply come along to a meeting. The meetings are bi-monthly in the Bowes Hotel. Or contact the group via Steve Gibbon. All are welcome and there is no need to have been involved in any aspect of research. You can join in, suggest your own topic for research and find others with a shared interest or knowledge that might help you.

If you have maps, photos or books about the Bardon Mill area, which you think might be of interest to others, or perhaps you would like to find out more about what you have, then please bring it along to a meeting, or contact the group here.
